Finance and Operations Manager based in Pangbourne, Berkshire
Marquis Broadcast are recruiting for a finance and operations manager based from our office in Pangbourne, Berkshire. We’re looking for an experienced, flexible, hands-on finance and operations manager to join our team, reporting to the managing director. We have exciting plans for the future, and we need a new and capable member of our team to help us on our journey.
We’re a growing business, with most of our business conducted in North America and Europe. Our parent company is Dan Technologies based in Copenhagen. It’s important our budgeting, forecasting and reporting are professionally and carefully managed.
Marquis develops specialist software for movie and television production companies. We’re proud and excited to have customers like Netflix, BBC, ITV, Discovery and Warner Brothers using our software.
As our full-time finance and operations manager, you’ll be a key part of the management team. We're looking for someone pragmatic, conscientious and organised to manage our day-to-day finance and operations.
We use Sage and XAL accounting systems and TeamDesk CRM. If you are not familiar with XAL or TeamDesk training will be given. We expect you to have experience with the Microsoft Office suite and proficient with Excel.
The finance component includes order and invoice management, credit control, supplier management, budgeting, support contract renewals, accounting and compliance reporting, payroll and payments and banking management.
The operations component primarily covers, staff administration, managing software licensing and any other ad-hoc tasks to make sure the office runs efficiently and effectively.
You will also liaise with our group finance operations in Denmark who create the full management accounts. However, we expect that you will be able to generate a trial balance at month end.
- Preferably 5 years’ experience within a finance and operations role
- A finance qualification is desirable (or relevant experience)
- Experience of Microsoft Office suite and advanced Excel skills
- Experience of Sage is desirable
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable working as part of a small team
