Valuable Interplay metadata can be saved and searched
Marquis Broadcast is launching its new Interplay Metadata Export Tool at NAB 2018, which will enable customers to take an Avid® Interplay® project and export all metadata for all assets in the project – essential when archiving projects from an Interplay system. Avid Interplay PAM has become a mainstay of many production workflows, relied upon daily by large and small production facilities around the world to find, track, archive and deliver projects. The Interplay Metadata Export Tool (IMET) copies and externalises Interplay metadata, making it searchable via a browser interface by operational staff. Importantly, the source externalised metadata record in Interplay can be safely deleted, thus reducing the size of the Interplay database and thereby improving the system’s performance, stability and indexing speed.
Marquis Broadcast has announced a collaboration with NewTek, a worldwide leader in integrated multi-camera video production systems, to enable automated ingest to Avid. Medway, Marquis’ workflow automation solution, which enables seamless media and metadata integration with leading broadcast content applications, now supports NewTek’s TriCaster multi-camera video production system to provide broadcasters and content creators with a cost effective and efficient ingest to edit workflow.
Marquis Broadcast, specialist in broadcast workflow studies and media integration tools, has announced that its Medway media highway software now supports file transfers between the Avid® Interplay® production asset management system and Apple's Final Cut Pro editing systems. Making full use of the Avid Interplay Web services APIs, this Medway development will give content producers and broadcasters the ability to build faster and more flexible workflows between their preferred postproduction and broadcasting applications, without constraints or delays that may otherwise occur when file transfers are required between different software and hardware platforms.
Marquis Broadcast, specialist in broadcast workflow studies and software integration solutions, will be demonstrating the latest version of its Medway media highway product at IBC including newly added support for .AVI-based systems and extended support for Avid Interplay.
