Real integrations running in production today
Bidirectional integration between Avid Interplay and an archive asset management system across multiple regional stations. Medway handles export, metadata extraction, and restore workflows — supporting both master clips and sequences across a WAN infrastructure.
All content managed by an external MAM. On edit request, Medway ingests assets into Avid PAM, generating proxies on the fly. At finish, Medway pulls only the required hi-res segments, dynamically relinks sequences, and exports back to the MAM with full metadata.
Editors export completed sequences from Media Composer to Medway with structured metadata capture. Medway conforms to MXF OP1A, matches assets to the MAM's unique IDs via API, and triggers downstream fulfilment workflows automatically.
A mixed workflow spanning Avid PAM, Avid MAM, and a third-party MAM. Medway auto-detects ingested material, queries the Avid MAM for additional metadata, enriches it into Avid PAM on import, and manages ID generation and MXF OP1A conforming on export.
Medway manages the link between an external MAM and Avid production systems. Beyond standard import/export, the workflow supports growing file creation throughout — editors work on content while it's still being transferred and recorded on the source device.
Multiple Medway instances connect historical archives across major regional sites. Media and metadata move in both archive and restoration workflows, bridging two different archive management systems seamlessly across the organisation.

Complete migration from a proprietary object storage archive to a new MAM system. Medway handled media format conversion, metadata mapping, and verified transfers at scale — preserving the full asset catalogue while the broadcaster transitioned to a modern management platform.
Enabling Avid content archived by Project Parking to be useable by a new asset management system. Media and metadata were migrated while maintaining full project integrity, allowing the new platform to discover and manage existing Avid assets seamlessly.
Media and metadata moved between historical archives spanning major regional sites, bridging two different archive management systems. Both archive and restoration workflows supported, enabling the broadcaster to federate its heritage content across the entire organisation.
